Grandma's House

Evan's been whipping up some pretty tasty spritzers in the past few weeks that we are bottling and carbonating on site. They were inspired by Jeffrey Morgenthaler, a Portland based bartender who is considered one of the pre-eminent bartenders in the world at the moment.

The most popular of the Spritzers has been the aptly named Grandma's House.

The ingredients in Grandma's house include - Finsbury overproof London dry gin (clean and classic), Fernet-Branca (an Italian digestive that's a bartender's favourite), Drambuie (dusty old fella best known for appearing in a Rusty Nail)  and St-Germain (another bartenders favourite, fragrant and delicious elderflower based liquer)

After carbonating filtered water, all the ingredients are mixed and funnelled into bottles.

A bottle caps applied and it's ready to be chilled.

And here's the finished product. It's delicious as a lunch sipper or a pre/post meal digestive.

Strange Fruit #1 - Sunday 11th December

Getting to Freda's

Getting to Freda's is easy.

The first job is getting to Chippendale.

You can find directions to Chippendale via our Google Places page which is located here!

Step 1. Once you are in Chippendale on Regent Street, keep you eyes out for our neighbours fibreglass tongue (it's on the left of the photo above), then take the laneway to the right of it.

Step 2. Keep an eye out for our sign on the gate at the front.

Step 3. Then take the grey door down the end on the left!
